Jumping with a skydiving camera helmet

Tim Parrant is an experienced cameraman at Empuriabrava and he recently wrote an article in Skydive Mag about camera briefing & camera safety. I had the chance to interview him in order to get more tips & tricks for anyone who wants to start jumping with a camera.

You can find his articles here: http://www.skydivemag.com/article/crazy-for-cameras
(You’ll also find the Camera Safety Manual & Tim’s Safety posters)

3 tips from Tim for skydivers who want to start jumping with a camera and do skydiving videos:

#1 - Don’t rush into it - Build up skills & awareness before putting a camera on your helmet

#2 - Get proper briefing from a qualified person on the dropzone or take a camera course.

#3 - Don’t go cheap - Find the BEST safety options, a few extra bucks can save your life!
