Skydive The Falls - The Guide

PussFoot is stoked to bring you one of the newest dropzones in the United States, Skydive The Falls and this one should be on your bucket list for sure. STF, Located less than 2 miles from Niagara Falls and less than 1 mile from Lake Ontario. I mean who wouldn't want to skydive over the falls and visit Canada, drink some epic beer (yeah it's only a 30 min drive to Toronto) all in the same day. The possibilities are endless. Skydive the Falls is a small drop zone with a huge family feel. From the moment you arrive you will be surrounded by an amazing staff and fun jumper base. I personally fell in love with this drop zone and I think you will too.  So pack your car and make sure to check them out. I hope you enjoy this DZ as much as we do, We plan on making the drive often to this DZ during the 2021 season, so come one up and play.
PS they also have a boogie called Falls Fest
Heli, Bi Plane, turbine ect...

DRIVING IN:

*

*

** You are going to want a car at this DZ **

So much to see and do trust me
This DZ is only 5.5 hrs from downtown NYC. If you have the time to take the drive I recommend it. The roads are NY good and the scenery is amazing.
We at Pussfoot love taking road trips. Road trips give us the opportunity to meet amazing people and visit new drop zones. Having our own car on a skydiving adventure gives us a sense of safety and an additional place to store belongings. So if you are like us and are going to drive there are some things to know.

*Use Waze - this will route you around traffic and show you all of the police. This app should save you some time on your journey.
*If you are coming from the NE let's say New York - trust me stay on the highway unless Waze tells you to exit. Just like Mom Waze knows best!
*Do you really need to bring that? Pack light, you are still in America and can stop to get whatever you need.
*Get a BP rewards card. You will earn money off every time you fill up. * There are BP gas stations all over the country. This last trip I saved over $50.00 in fuel using one. ( I cannot stress this car enough! I have saved thousands of dollars over the last five years. Link https://www.mybpstation.com/bp-driver-rewards )

*

*

*Remember to take breaks, switch drivers and stay hydrated and fueled up. The most important part of any road trip is enjoying the journey, no need to rush!
*
*
*Bonus - Pussfoot has its own Budget car rental discount code. It has saved me a ton of money on a bunch of trips --  X447988 -- enjoy

ARRIVING AT DZ:

 *
*
So you made it! Do you know where you are staying? Do not forget to check in to Manifest when they are open so you can fill out your waver and be given an orientation. If you will be arriving after hrs, make sure to let management know you will be late. If you are camping, make sure to visit the manifest when you wake up to check in.
My advice would be to stay at the DZ for your trip. Every night brings the chance for some fun. Trust me, Some super fun people will be chilling at the DZ and will give you ample opportunity to join loads and find some sort of trouble.
Did you book the DZ house yet?
**

CAMPING:

4  stars  ****
Open field / shade.
Campers/RV welcome No hook-up available
Campfire (yes) and encouraged
* All of the people will welcome you to their sites as if you were family.
* If you arrive late be mindful when setting up your tents, People might be sleeping
*Cooking please see manifest
*
*
The DZ has wood but if you like, you can get bundles of wood from Tractor supply located 20 min up the road for $5.00 a bundle.
I would ask a Local for wood if you are running low. And skip the tractor supply run. Also I noticed a lot of townies were selling wood from their homes, so just ask.
*On a personal note, I had one of my all time favorite fire pit nights at Skydive the Falls. From the super chill people to the amazing sunset, it was stellar. Also Make sure you tell a local you want wings from Bandanas!!! Try the cajun flavor, I've never had better...
*
* Order food from Bandanas
The wings are amazing
*
*

Bathrooms:

*
Porta Potty only
*Be kind and clean up after yourself. We are all adults and being a slob is just not cool for the next person who needs to use the facilities :-)
** Don't forget your Wipes **

***************
Below you will find a map of STF.  Look for the red arrow that says Camping area. Just pull in and set up your tent. (Be mindful of the signage). If it is too late, try to be quiet because there may be people trying to sleep.  You will also find the bathroom marked on Map. * I found that this community was extremely safe, nothing was stolen. There is always someone watching out for your gear.  With that being said you never know who might just be a tool. So take care to lock up whatever you can and be mindful of your stuff. Need a tent and or camping supplies, don't forget that an unnamed large, have- it -all store is located nearby and has an unconditional 90 day return policy.

Things to see:

*
*
Ok so this is Niagara Falls, and I found the weather to be average. With that being said it will rain or get crazy windy at some point. So what do you do on a weather hold?  Well if you think you are done for the day feel free to grab a Beer, or better yet get in the car grab a friend and do some epic shit. From The falls, jet boats, zip lines and Canada being 3 feet to your north, I am pretty sure you will find stuff to do. Matter of fact you should extend your stay just to do some of the memory enhancing things in the area.
I have included a few links to mind blowing activities in the area.
* Ask manifest for ideas they are full of info!
* The Food - you know I am a foodie and the food up here is beyond epic

Pussfoot always has an amazing time at Skydive The Falls Although we are only there for 3 days we were able to meet some amazing people and get in some stellar jumps. From the Staff to the fun jumpers, the vibe is amazing. This Dropzone will always remain on my go-to list, Matter of fact we are planning to make the trip several times in 2021 to  jump, sight see and party so come out and have a good time.
In the end it's the people and memories we have made that count and this dropzone is sure to provide plenty. Don't forget that Skydive The Falls hosts an amazing boogie every year, so make sure to check their calendar for upcoming events. Thank you for reading, if you feel that we left something out or would like to contribute to this guide please email us at the address provided below.
